Lord, I Need You (arr. Timothy Shaw) published in Fred Bock’s Worship Bridges series

lord-i-need-youMy newest addition to Fred Bock’s Worship Bridges series is a Nocturne on Lord, I Need You, a popular worship song by Christy Nockels, Daniel Carson, Jesse Reeves, Kristian Stanfill, and Matt Maher. The piece is described as “a dignified prelude, a closing postlude, a moving offertory piece or a tender concert selection.” I am pleased to be contributing to this series, which “endeavors to unify…church families by creating a series of resources for church musicians that merge the greatest songs and melodies of today with the traditional forms and styles that have endured for centuries. The goal is nothing less than to enable music to once again be a source of unity for the Church, not a tool for divisiveness or separation.”

This excellent new series “endeavors to unify…church families by creating a series of resources for church musicians that merge the greatest songs and melodies of today with the traditional forms and styles that have endured for centuries. The goal is nothing less than to enable music to once again be a source of unity for the Church, not a tool for divisiveness or separation.” This title is now available for sale (through JW Pepper).

How Great Is Our God (arr. Timothy Shaw) published in Fred Bock’s Worship Bridges series

How Great Is Our GodI am so pleased to unveil an exciting new project that I’ve been working on for awhile! Fred Bock has commissioned me to write piano settings of popular worship songs as part of their new Worship Bridges series. This series “endeavors to unify…church families by creating a series of resources for church musicians that merge the greatest songs and melodies of today with the traditional forms and styles that have endured for centuries. The goal is nothing less than to enable music to once again be a source of unity for the Church, not a tool for divisiveness or separation.” The arrangements are similar (in length, difficulty level, etc.) to those in the popular Bock’s Best series. My first piece is a Prelude on How Great Is Our God, by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves and Ed Cash; and it is available for sale now (through JW Pepper). Stay tuned for more.
